Compact and space-efficient, the Interactive Lightsource offers all the benefits of our Passive LED Lightsource—plus an exciting interactive twist.
What sets this version apart is its compatibility with our Interactive Remote Control (sold separately). With just the click of a button, users can easily change between colours, making the experience more engaging, stimulating, and user-friendly. This added interactivity is especially beneficial for individuals who may struggle to maintain focus for long periods.
When paired with our Clear or Coloured Fibre Optic Strands (sold separately), the Interactive Lightsource creates a multi-sensory experience that combines both visual and tactile stimulation, encouraging exploration and play.
Designed with practicality in mind, the unit is always cool to the touch, making it safe for placement in inaccessible areas while fibre optic strands can be positioned within reach for hands-on interaction. Measuring just 80mm x 170mm, it’s small enough to fit into even the tightest spaces.
For added flexibility, a battery-powered option is also available, allowing you to move the lightsource between rooms with ease—so sensory stimulation can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere.

The Interactive LED Lightsource has the option of having two different sensory remote controls. You can choose between using a Sensory Remote Control or Dice Remote Control to control the colour of the LEDs on the strands of the Lightsource.
Using these remote controls gives the user the benefit of colour recognition as they develop visual sensory learning. Alternative switches can be used by using the 3.5mm jack port on the Sensory Remote Control giving those with preferred switch access the ability to interact with the Lightsource.
The remotes are completely wireless and are therefore ideal for users in wheelchairs.

What voltage is the Lightsource?
12VAC or 12VDC Mains Powered, 7.2VDC Battery Powered.
How do I charge the battery Lightsource?
The battery Lightsource will come with a supplied charger. Plug the charger into a mains socket, before turning it on at the switch connect it to the Lightsource then press the mains switch. The battery charger will illuminate red to indicate charging. Once the Lightsource is fully charged the LED on the battery charger will turn green. PLEASE NOTE that the Lightsource will not work whilst being charged. We recommend charging for approximately 4 hours to be fully charged.
Can your Lightsource work with any fibre optic strands?
Yes, our Lightsource collar is 30mm in width. This is the standard size for fibre optic strands.
How long does the Battery Lightsource last?
The Battery Powered Lightsource will last around 4 hours.
Are fibre strands safe?
Yes, very safe! The strands are made of a phthalate-free plastic. They carry no heat or electricity.
Do I have to change any bulbs in this product?
No, as we use LED technology which lasts a lifetime.
How long is the power supply cable?
The Smaller Power supply used for LED products is 1.5M in length.
