Highlights from 2018 and a Look Ahead into 2019

Hello and a very Happy New Year to you! Jack here, from Apollo Creative.

Apollo Creative has had a fantastic 2018, delivering various sensory products and solutions across the UK and even abroad.

We would firstly like to thank all our customers past and present for your continued support in purchasing what we believe are the best sensory products available.

In this post today, I wanted to share with you a few highlights from 2018 and a look at what to expect in 2019.

Apollo Creative is growing from strength to strength. More and more distributor customers are using our experienced manufacturing skills and purchasing the latest sensory equipment including bubble tubes, sensory panels, and fibre optic lights for sensory rooms and immersive rooms.

Apollo Creative continue to provide a rich portfolio of products available and are always evolving this in new and exciting ways through our in-house Engineering and Production teams.

Here are a few chosen highlights of 2018:

Kidzplay – Immersive Sensory Room in Harrogate

We were approached by softplay specialists Kidzplay with an exciting opportunity to supply sensory equipment for their brand-new Immersive sensory playroom.

Based in Harrogate, Kidzplay is a large bespoke indoor soft play centre for Children. Working closely to meet the sensory needs of their users, Apollo Creative were able to provide sensory equipment to fit out this magical room.

The room is only a small part of a bigger plan for Kidzplay as they look to expand their whole business through crowdfunding. You can find out more about this here: Kidzplay Crowdfunding Page.

We would like to thank everyone at Kidzplay allowing us to create a room that will bring joy to many people. Here are some pictures of the final project:

Aspin Park School – Local Sensory Room

Another local project we were delighted to work on in 2018 was with a School located just around the corner from Apollo Creative HQ. Aspin Park School is for 4-11-year-olds and is based in Knaresborough.

A huge fundraising campaign by the PTA and successful funding from the Aviva Community Fund allowed Aspin Park School to secure the money needed for a fabulous sensory room. This ‘chill out’ room will be put to good use by the Schools pupils as they use the area for relaxation.

Controlling the lights of the sensory room was an important requirement for the room as the pupils will have full control of interactive lights to fit their mood. Sensory equipment provided by Apollo Creative will allow them to do exactly that.

Lorna Rainey, Deputy Head at Aspin Park School had this to say about the project:

New Chroma + in 2018

For our final highlight of 2018, we wanted to showcase the release of our brand-new Chroma+.

The Chroma tube started life in 2014 and continues to be a must-have for sensory spaces where infection control is paramount or where the cleaning of water is not required. The Chroma tube offers a warming glow of multi coloured lights in a single column. Perfect for sensory relaxation.

After 4 years of selling the Chroma Tube, we are now pleased to announce the upgraded version entitled the Chroma+. This unique piece of sensory equipment does all that its predecessor does and more!

Various modes create engaging lighting patterns that help with sensory relaxation therapy and promote sensory learning practices (cause and effect learning). Using the robust interactive button controller, the user can choose the modes that they like and change the Chroma+ into various colours.

The Chroma+ is available now and is proving very popular with Apollo Creative’s sensory distributors.

What’s in store for 2019?

2019 is set to be another big year for Apollo Creative with already a large volume of orders being fulfilled by our hard-working production team.

We will continue to work closely with our distributors and look forward to welcoming new businesses on board to work with, so they can fulfil sensory requirements. It’s great to see sensory therapy being used more and more in the UK and around the world as people see the huge benefits it can bring to people with various special needs and abilities.

Do get in touch if you would like to talk about our sensory equipment offerings.

New products are on the horizon as our Apollo Creative Engineers put the final touches on an upgraded version of our sound panel as well as new sleek wall panels that will fit perfectly into smaller sensory rooms. Watch this space!
